Selle Italia Saddles Review:

I decided to give the Selle Italia SLR Superflow Saddle a try after reading many positive reviews. Everyone’s rear seems to be different; therefore, it is difficult to find the right saddle. For me, it has always been about comfort, and the SLR Superflow definitely delivered. I have been using this saddle for several months and still have not experienced any discomfort or numbness.

Everyone’s bike position is different because of our particular characteristics, and therefore, fitting the seat properly is essential for optimum performance. I like my seat to be positioned wide – not only by riding position, but as well as for hip rotation. I also positioned the saddle slightly forward. The Selle Italia SLR Superflow’s long, thin profile with the flat support areas and large centre cut-out helped me do this. Furthermore, the long narrow top cut-out provides me with a good spot to sit on.

Being a large person, the padding is also very important, and I was impressed with the SLR Superflow. It has just the right amount of padding and the lightweight Carbon and Fibra-Tek combination provides great support. The SLR Superflow also features 3D Relief Channel padding and length-to-width ratio for optimum comfort. It does a nice job of eliminating the pressure that builds around my “sit-and-sway” bones. This saddle provides ergonomic cushioning for a minimal amount of weight.

I felt the SLR Superflow was a great choice considering my riding position. I have always liked a seat that is closer to the front of the bike, and the SLR Superflow’s long, thin profile allows for this. The seat has an overall narrow design with wide flat areas that help distribute my weight across a larger surface area. I feel like it’s more comfortable doing this rather than standard saddle which are usually wider in the centre.

The SLR Superflow is quite firm to sit on and this helps me with pedalling effort. It is a popular road bike saddle due to its firmness and bend in the centre. Selle Italia SLR Superflow Saddle Review:

The superior quality of the SLR Superflow is due to the lightweight Carbon and Fibra-Tek combination. This design eliminates pressure that builds around my “sit-and-sway” bones. Furthermore, the padding materials used, and design ensure long-lasting comfort. The SLR Superflow is a popular road bike saddle due to its firmness and bend in the centre. It is made with a perfect combination of firmness and comfort.

The price of the SLR Superflow is $136, which is a bit expensive. However, I think the advantages of this saddle are well worth the money. I would definitely consider buying another one if mine wears out. I feel that it provides great comfort and support. The long, thin profile with the flat support areas and large centre cut-out helps me with pedalling efforts. I typically can’t ride for very long before I become sore, but I have not experienced that with the Superflow. In terms of speed, I didn’t notice any difference with the SLR Superflow Saddle.

The Selle Italia SLR Superflow Saddle is one of the better saddles I’ve used. Most saddles just don’t really stand out as being different than the rest, but I feel that way with this one. I think it’s a great saddle for the bigger rider that needs a little extra padding and is looking for a slightly longer profile. In addition, I like the fact that I am able to widen my position a little with this saddle. I feel the longer profile really helps to balance out the already heavier frame.
