Why You Need a Truck: 5 Kick-Ass Reasons

So many people in America own a truck because trucks are awesome. Everyone knows it—trucks are the best. If you own a truck, you already know this to be true. If you’ve ever ridden in a truck, you might have an idea as to how super-terrific they are, but you don’t really know for sure. It’s kind of like having kids; you don’t really know what it’s all about until you have your own. There are different brands, manufacturers, and styles of trucks out there, so rest easy knowing there’s one for you. You might be wondering if a truck is for you, and if you should get one. Well, you should. Here are some reasons why you need a truck just in case you are struggling with the decision.

There’s Stuff to Move

Life is transitional, sometimes to a fault. There is always something to move, be it furniture, tools, or people to the back forty. Trucks have that big bed in the back so that you can pick up lumber from the lumber yard, move that couch to granny’s house, or take the dirt bikes to the trails. They are workhorse-type vehicles that can move just about anything. Put a cap on the number of friends you will help move in a year, though, or you’ll be busy every weekend lifting heavy stuff.

There’s Stuff to Haul

Trucks can haul all your toys. Have you ever tried to haul a trailer with a hybrid? Of course not—who would? A truck lets you finally get that 25 ft. bass boat you’ve always wanted. Now you can get two ATVs and pull them to the recreation park and rip it up all day. Trucks let you enjoy the outdoors by bringing the fun with you.

They Look Mean and Tough

Let’s be honest, trucks just look cool. Jacking up a truck, putting some knobby tires on it, and tinting the windows make them look cooler than usual. A stock truck will always look cooler than just about anything else on the road, but a tricked-out truck, well, that’s just the icing on the cake.

Off-Roading is the Best

After you trick out that truck, take it off-road. Keeping a truck on the highway and city streets is like keeping a thoroughbred in the stables; it’s a waste. Trucks are built to be taken off-road. Spend the day in the great outdoors crawling over rocks, through mud holes, and winding through the trees.

You Want One

The final and best reason to get a truck is because you want one. You know deep in your soul that you want a truck. You might not know why; you just know you do. It’s there, it’s innate, it’s a part of you, the desire to buy a truck and reap all the benefits it brings. Don’t apologize for it—just do it.
