When every second counts, heroes don’t give up. While searching an apartment during an residential fire in Jurupa Valley, California firefighters discovered four cats trapped inside. While sweeping the building, they found four cats, three of which were unconscious and not breathing.

This incredible rescue footage shows the fire department and a sheriff’s deputy working together to perform rescue breathing and administer oxygen in a determined effort to save every life they could.

After several tense minutes, the cats began to respond—and all four survived.

Thank you to the first responders at CAL FIRE – Riverside County Fire Department for their heroic efforts and for reminding us that courage, teamwork, and compassion can make all the difference.
