I have used this several times while biking and it has been dropped and still works. Very sturdy well worth the price and highly recommended.

This 2-in-1 gadget functions both as sunglasses and a recording camera, making it the perfect cycling video camera on the market. It can record a maximum of 120 minutes of high-definition video. It is also very lightweight and durable. Aside from that, it can accommodate up to 32gb of external memory card. With those features, this is easily one of the best cycling cameras on the market.

This is a great upgrade from the GoPro. With its two screens and easy-to-use interface, it is a great option for cyclists. The exterior is built to last and the unique features make it a ‘must have’ than just a ‘good to have’. It comes with a colour screen in the front that makes it easy to frame shots or comes in handy during vlogging or taking selfies. The enhanced video mode detects faces automatically and adjusts exposure. It is perfect for cyclists who wish to turn the camera to themselves sometimes. The back screen is incredibly responsive and makes it easier to change settings or play videos. The HDR footage is sharp, and the camera minimizes vibrations. Overall, a great gadget for cyclists as well as other adventure enthusiasts.

When recording my mountain biking trails I use the AKASO Brave 4 4K 20MP WiFi Action Camera on my helmet mount and I have had no complaints with it. It is very easy to set up and slot onto my helmet and catches amazing footage at high speeds, it is also durable and weatherproof, having ridden in the rain many times and fallen off a few times too.

This cycling camera is the ideal piece of tech to record your cycling journeys. The basic features are really spot-on, it films in 4k and 1080p for a clear picture at 30FPS, as well as battery life that proves pretty good for the market. Moreover, the camera has waterproof features very similar to your mobile phone, as well as a waterproof USB connection, which is fundamental for the camera’s function. Yet, my favorite thing about the camera is the flashback video tagging. This essentially means your camera will always be recording in the background but is only saved to your memory card after you have tagged it. This means that nothing happens off camera and you can have a record of your spontaneous meetings with wildlife or even footage of a specific incident to keep you protected should a motor incident occur.

The AKASO Action Camera is the best video camera I’ve come across for cycling and other sports. It records in Ultra HD, with a 170 wide-angle, but is also waterproof and can work underwater, which I always find convenient. It can be placed on your helmet when cycling, and my mates and I have used it to record our cycling adventures quite a few times now.

When looking for a cycling video camera, it doesn’t get better than the GoPro HERO 10. As it’s a small camera it can be easily attached to your bike, helmet, or yourself. The quality of the camera itself is excellent and provides Ultra HD videos. The built-in stabilizer means the quality is still high on rough terrain, and the LCD is easy to use and navigate.

It shoots stunning 4K video at up to a frame rate of 120p for passive motion, and it’s so light you can mount it pretty much anywhere. Both the OLED touchscreen and the Mimo app make controlling it simple. The battery life is impressive; DJI claims you can probably get up to 160 minutes of use out of it without using stabilization, and we believe them.

The terrifying Sony RX0 II can record stunning 4K video and ridiculously slow-motion footage at 960 frames per second. The lack of stabilization will make it difficult for really aggressive cyclists. Still, if you typically ride more leisurely routes, you’ll be delighted with the quality of the footage you get.

Capture 360-degree video in total, and then use the GoPro app to reframe it to get the ideal shot. The days of sloppy framing and missed opportunities behind the camera are long gone. Utilizing the Fusion Studio app, the footage is automatically stabilized in post-production to create unmatched gimbal-like footage.

The Insta360 Go 2 is surprisingly small and simple to use. It’s waterproof up to 13 feet and has a maximin resolution of 2K, or QHD (2,560 x 1,440), and a max frame rate of 50fps. Most controls on the unit are accessible via the smart phone app. However, hidden on the front panel of the unit is a button that accesses some features , depending on whether you press, double press, or hold it down. A unique feature of the camera is the charging case. When attached it acts as a tripod. It also includes a screen and allows you to choose shooting modes, resolution, aspect rations and more. Accessories are included with the unit. Among these are a clip that permits attaching the clip to clothing or a hat and a pivot stand that allows the camera to be mounted to hard surfaces. There are limitations to the camera. The maximum internal hard drive storage is 64GB and, while the camera is waterproof, the charge case is not. Additionally, the unit is only HD, not 4K resolution.

The AKASO V50 Elite 4K60fps Touch Screen WiFi Action Camera is a very versatile action camera as it can be used in many different sports. It has voice control so you no longer have to touch it to control it, making it a perfect cycling video camera. It has lots of view angles so you can capture all possible angles while riding. This can add security and safety for you while riding. It is also waterproof so you no longer have to worry when it suddenly rains while riding your bicycle.

With a built-in camera that stores footage automatically if it senses an issue, you can see and record what’s behind you. Record video in 1080p at 30 frames per second for crystal-clear clarity, or lower the resolution to 720p to prolong battery life for longer rides.

Thanks to its modular design, which enables you to swap out lenses to create a flexible setup suited to your shooting needs, the Insta360 One RS impressed our reviewer. For the One R, three lenses are available: a 5.3k Leica-engineered 1-inch sensor unit, a 5.7K 360 module, and a 4K wide-angle lens. There are also options for larger batteries, dive cases, and drone mounts.
