POC Coron Air Spin Helmet
This product was recommended by Ethan Mays from ActivePedal
I have partnered with this POC mtb helmet for a year. It has a great fit. Loads of pads are added in the position of cheek forehead and back of the head, this brings comfortability to the owner. Wearing the helmet during a long day ride does not cause much problems as it breaths really well. A common issue when riding with a full-face mountain bike helmets is that you may sweat a lot under the sun. However, I rarely take this helmet off to get some air as the ventilation system which is facilitated through diverse holes and channels does the job really well. I used to have a few models from other brands as Girp, Fox Racing or Bell, but the Poc Coron is the best mtb enduro helmet that I’ve got so far.
Giro Tyrant Spherical Adult Dirt Bike Helmet
This product was recommended by Vans Pat from Gifting Area
The Giro Tyrant is an open face mtb enduro helmet which features a spherical MIPS protection. It is equipped with a dual-density EPS foam lining designed to maximize impact absorption. With over 14 vents, the Giro Tyrant is extremely breathable and aerodynamic. It comes in a bunch of color variants, plus, it utilizes a Roc Loc Air DH fit system for a customizable fit.
MET PARACHUTE MCR Ride Confident
This product was recommended by Petr Minarik from Cyclists Hub
The Parachute MCR features a removable chin guard. It is a cool feature if you don’t want to ride with it all the time – for example on trails. If you ride in a terrain where is a higher risk of an uncontrollable fall with a possible crash into a tree, rock, etc., the chin guard is useful because it protects your face. This helmet is comfortable (yes, this is very subjective) and well padded. Maybe too well because if you want to take put it on when the chin guard is mounted, it may be difficult. So, here is a little trick. Put on the helmet without the chin guard and mount it later. It needs some practice, but you will master it within a day or two. Its ventilation is also pretty good thanks to 21 air vents so your head won’t overheat even during hot summer days. The FIDLOCK system is also very easy to use. Thanks to the magnets, you can fasten the helmet with one hand. And now, about safety, because I believe this is one of the most important features of any helmet. I have crashed with it so I am going to share with you my own experience. One day I drove into a berm that I had passed countless times already. This time, however, I have ridden faster than usual. The speed on the following jump had surprised me and because I was practicing the day before I managed to overjump the landing and fell on my back and knock my back head on the ground. I don’t know exactly what happened but during the fall, I hit my head on a rock. The helmet did exactly what it was supposed to do – it cracked and softened the impact. Except for a slight shock, abraded back and thighs, nothing happened to me. I contacted the seller because MET offers a crash replacement program. Thanks to it, I got a discount on the next helmet. I don’t know the exact price because it is not available yet. Anyway, it is worth every penny.
