Adventurous Spring Break Activity Ideas

When many people think of their dream spring break trip, they envision lounging on a white sand beach and soaking in the sun; but you’re not like everyone else. You’d prefer something a little more adventurous. Something that will get your blood pumping and leave you with unforgettable memories that will last long after your adrenaline rush dissipates. Well, you’re in luck. We’ve gathered a list of some of the best adventurous spring break activity ideas for adrenaline junkies just like you.

Go on an off-roading trip

With off-roading, you get just you, your vehicle, and the rush of whipping through the most challenging terrains Mother Nature has to offer. It doesn’t get much better than an off-roading trip when it comes to ideal spring break activities for adrenaline junkies.

By taking the road less traveled—or, more like forgoing it entirely—you can explore places unlike anything you’ve ever seen and take in views you just can’t see by following well-paved paths.

Some of the best states for off-roading include California, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona.

Embark on a ski/snowboarding trip

Hitting the slopes is a great way to get your adrenaline fix on spring break if you aren’t bothered by the cold.

If the bunny hill just isn’t cutting it for you, consider a more extreme variation of skiing or snowboarding by trying your hand at big mountain skiing or free skiing for steeper slopes and greater thrills.

If speeding down steep icy slopes with nothing but a plank of wood or two on your feet doesn’t get your blood pumping, we don’t know what will.

Hit the trails on a mountain bike

Few activities are more thrilling than mountain biking. Navigating sharp turns, tackling steep climbs and sudden drops, and riding on rough terrain is enough to get anyone’s heart pounding.

As such, those with a taste for adventure should consider packing their mountain bike and heading out on a search for some wicked trails. Some of the best mountain biking vacation destinations in the world include The Hebrides Trail in Scotland, Washington Valley in the U.S., and Åre in Sweden—just to name a few.
