On the final day of the Crankworx Innsbruck it was time to race against the clock. The IXS Downhill presented by Raiffeisen Club delivered a track packed with tons of slippery off-camber roots, technical and tight corners and super highspeed sections. Through heavy rain in the last couple of days the course was slick and challenging on race day.
Coming into this race, the Kiwi rider Brook Macdonald was the defending champion, as well as the current Crankworx Downhill Champion. Sustaining a spinal injury in August 2019, it was the first time since the race in Mont-Sainte-Anne that the ‘Bulldog’ stepped between race tape again.
