At 110 x 105mm, the Scarab features one of the widest platforms available, yet thanks to the thin profile and chamfered corners, it has great clearance. Chromag’s proprietary extrusion and machined design provides an ultra thin true-concave profile that is only 13mm at the platform centre.
Custom traction pins are made of hardened steel and feature two height options via the removable washer.
Features:
- A shear line reduces pedal damage when the pins are struck
- 42 placement options for ultimate customisation
- Low profile 13mm at platform centre
- True concave design
- Custom adjustable height pin

In conclusion, the Scarab Pedals get all the points in my eyes. The profile is excellent (at least for the street type) and the suspension is perfect on the road. Very unusual, with a true concave. Value for money.
After using Chromag’s prototype for a while, I can honestly say it is one of the best products I have bought this year. Well done Chromag.

Chromag M150 are a very nice bit of hardware, although the only other centre ball bearing available was pretty pricey. However, the M150 comes with a clutch mechanism, so you can quickly finish off your riding and return to the pedals.
They work very well!
The M150 are equipped with ceramics. The weight is not terrible, at just 110 grams (3 grams fewer than the M10). The weight is quite light, and they fit perfectly on the thumb and index finger.
Features:
- Aluminum alloy flange
- Internal-linked bearing housing
- Low profile cleat
- Car-motor-style bolt
- Carbon friction cup
- Ceramic bearing
- Shimano M525 10 speed
Powered by the Shimano M525 speed hub, the M150 is a great option for anyone looking to save money and still try a wider variety of bike sizes.

I’d rate the M9 Toe Clip Pedal the most anticipated of Chromag’s tool products, for good reason!
The M9 Toe Clipper Pedal is a very good pedal. It is very lightweight, which is nice, given both the weight and width. It is also very compact and well engineered. The M9 pedal itself is not heavy, weighing only 211 grams (3.97 oz.). This is excellent for a single pedal and is a good weight to weight ratio with a full sized road bike! However, weighing 5.72 ounces (168 grams) it is still quite a bit heavier than the M10 Toe Clipper, a two-finger foot peg pedal.
The 13mm platform, 13mm width and 12mm platform, or even 11mm platform, combined with the 9 degrees of platform angle, give you a very wide platform for use on many different bike types.
The M9 Toe Clipper Pedal is not only very stylish, but also has a very minimalist look. You won’t see anything on it protruding or filling the look of its surroundings. The pedals are wide and yet are ‘stacked’. This brings a lot of focus to the pedals, which I find a very attractive feature.
At 203 grams (4.02 oz.), the M9 Toe Clipper Pedal is a very lightweight product, though it isn’t the lightest product by any stretch. The weight, combined with the ultra wide and low profile platform, is exactly what makes the M9 Toe Clipper Pedal such a unique product. While it isn’t the lightest product out there (chances are high that you’re getting more weight from this than your regular M10, and that you’re in the ballpark of what a road bike will normally weigh), it is still fairly light while feeling very responsive.
