Experience one of the most heart-stopping moments in H1 Unlimited Hydroplane racing. During a high-speed heat, Dave Villwock’s U-27 "Miss Apollo" came unhooked in a turn and veered directly into the path of Corey Peabody’s U-9 "Beacon Plumbing" before launching into the air at Guntersville Lake HydroFest in Alabama.
The crash during the race destroyed the U-27’s front canard and caused severe damage to the cowling, but despite the severity of the incident, both drivers fortunately avoided injury. These GoPro HERO11 Black POVs show just how intense the sport featuring the world’s fastest propeller-driven hydroboats can be.
