This camera packs Power Tools — a sweet suite of smart settings that extend your capture options beyond simply pressing the shutter button. The new Power Tools include HindSight, Scheduled Capture, LiveBurst, + Duration Capture.

HindSight is designed so that you’ll never miss a moment again. This powerful feature captures up to 30 seconds of video before you even press record. Imagine your little-leaguer gets her first base hit. As she sprints for first, you press record. HindSight records the action before you hit the shutter button—and after—until you stop recording.

Scheduled Capture lets you select the start time of your video in advance. Expecting something spectacular? Capture a peaceful sunrise or put the camera in harm’s way + film safely from afar.

Duration Capture lets you choose how long HERO9 Black records before automatically stopping.

LiveBurst helps when the timing of your shutter press is critical. In this mode, HERO9 Black will record 1.5 seconds (45 frames) before + 1.5 seconds (45 frames) after you press the shutter button. Then, simply pick your favorite frame or share the moment as a 3-second video.
